OMG! The best Chicken I have had in the DMV area. A amazing is the only words I have! And they have BANGING shrimp! And they don’t try to rip your pockets open! The owner(I think) came over and was very genuine and nice! This is now my after work spot! Kudos to DATJERK!

Finally went after knowing about them coming to chuck county,before they even opened. The food was really really good! The girl who took my order,was friendly and could clearly tell I had never been there before(because I was reading every little thing lol) after confirming,she begin to tell me the process and even offered to let me taste both the curry and the jerk…omg both were so flavorful and tender! and lets not talk about that fresh hot coco bread!!! To die for! I love Caribbean cuisine but I honestly never had coco bread that fresh and warm before ever!! I will definitely become a regular here

Dat Jerk is ADDICTIVE!!! I absolutely love the jerk chicken with the rude-boy spicy sauce!!! I have Caribbean in-laws and I am use to having authentic jerk chicken and Dat Jerk is AUTHENTIC!!! Rice and peas is BOMB, Plantains are BOMB, Tropical Chicken is Bomb and Curry Chicken is BOMB!!! I usually call ahead for pickup and my order is ready when I get there….Never had to wait!

Store Appearance “Check”, Atmosphere “Check”, Staff (so friendly and made sure not to turn back ( never seen that before) “Check”, FOOD ” CHECK CHECK CHECK” places like this are so hard to come by. I hope they continue what ever they are doing. Management did a great job with training / preparing staff… We came doing lunch right after they opened. I can only hope evening shift has the same excellent quality across the board. I will rant and rave about this place until I can no longer rant and rave positively about it. Great Job

“Delicious food, impeccable staff”
Talk about a transformation! The last time I visited this space, it was home to Brasas — dark, quiet and expensive. The new Dat Jerk Chargrill is inviting and bright with awesome food served right in front of you. Similar to a Chipotle-style of serving, you enter and choose from your choice of proteins (jerk chicken, tropical chicken, etc.) and side dishes. Service is quick, and I absolutely loved the curry chicken and beans and rice. This was my first taste of Jamaican food, but it won’t be my last. “The Real Deal!”
My husband was excited about the idea of a new restaurant where he could enjoy Jamaican Jerk chicken. I, being Jamaican, was less excited. I was sure it would be like all of the other places we’ve tried, blah blah. But, to my absolute delight, this spot is the real deal! I was convinced after the very first bite of their delicious jerk chicken. My family and I have been back several times. The curry wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but remember I’m Jamaican, I grew up on this stuff, and my husband (who is American) thought it was pretty good. Try their jerk chicken for your self. It doesn’t get any better. We travel to Jamaica a lot, and this is as good or better than the best we’ve ever had. The owner is a stickler for authenticity, so you’ll find the best Jerk and Patties anywhere… including Jamaica… here!
PS: I haven’t tried the Jerk Pork, but my future daughter in law loved it. If you’re going for the “Red Dragon” experience (people who know Jamaica will understand that reference) you won’t find that level of heat here

We had seen that a few friends had been here to eat before so we decided to come in and try it as soon as we walked through the door we are greeted buy a young man behind the counter the people behind the counter knew their job on the menu without having to look up as first-time customers we had lots of questions and they gladly answered them. Britney got a salad bowl and I got the jerk chicken with red beans and rice and jerk gravy. I am here to tell you the food is excellent this place is just what Waldorf needs. This is the first time I have ever walk into casual fast food place and the young people behind the counter knew their job and how to do it and where helpful.

If your looking for awesome customer service, amazing food, and great decor, this is the place to go. My wife and I are from New York and we are both West Indian, so we are hard critics when it comes to eating Caribbean food. EVERYTHING THAT WE ATE WAS AMAZING. I had the Jerk Chicken, peas and rice, plantains and. Roti on the side. My wife had Curry Chicken with white rice, Old Bay fries and Coco Bread on the side. The staff was very pleasant and gave several recommendations from the various sauces to the type of chicken. We had the pleasure of meeting Angela (Co-Ower) of the restaurant and she was very welcoming and kind as she gave me recommendations for my Jerk Chicken. That Rude Boy sauce was Very Spicy as she stated. I can’t wait to return and try something new. This is the Caribbean version of Chipotle! I love it! We will be back!

So happy to find a Jamaican place near us and a damn good one at that. The staff was very friendly and helpful in me figuring out how everything worked. I got the jerk chicken bowl w/ rice and beans, and stir fry veggies. Everything was delicious! The jerk chicken was tender and had just enough spice like jerk chicken is suppose to have. & i also go the rude boy sauce on the side. love this sauce! Your eyes will water; you will need tissue but it is well worth it. Can’t wait to go back!
